Bedrooms that make you want to call in sick!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I am really into my bedroom, its bordering on obsessive...my bedding, my furniture, the lighting in fact my entire room has to feel like my own personal sanctuary, an oasis if you will. I need one little place in this crazy mad world where  I can close the door and take a deep breath and know I am safe, calm, free from stress and alone. That place is my bedroom. It sees me through a great nights sleep, gets me through an occasional sleepless night, marathon reading sessions and even makes being sick as good as it can possibly be given the circumstance. So, needless to say my bedroom and its comfort is of paramount importance to me. Today I salute beautiful sanctuary's aka bedrooms. that to me personify what a bedroom should be. Soft, luxurious, welcoming, soothing, calming, with some comfortable seating, just the right lighting, something cozy for your feet to step on, beautiful soft colors on the eyes. What are your ingredients for a sumptuous bedroom? Would love to know!

I hate being sick just like anyone but if you are going to have to confine yourself to bed and lots of rest, then being able to convalesce in a room like the ones above sure makes the whole experience bearable. At the end of the day, there is nothing like walking into ones personal space, your own "oasis" and regaling in your own little escape. When you close that door, you close the door to chaos and stress and finally you can decompress and truly relax. That to me, is what a bedroom should be about. A very important room indeed for the mind, body and soul. Do you have a favorite? Have a wonderful day!
